COMPETITION (UK only): Win a Christmas party beauty kit

UPDATE: The winner is Emily Hearts.

In association with Ravishing Roses.

Hurrah! It’s Christmas party time, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the beginning of the festive season than by giving one of my female readers a beauty gift!

If you are anything like me, getting ready for a Christmas party is a long process of dress/shoe browsing weeks in advance, but on the actual day I have about 20 minutes to get ready (we’re all busy ladies, right?).

So to make it a bit easier for you, Ana and I have prepared a little emergency beauty kit that will help you sparkle at that special evening event.

The top colours for this Christmas are metallics (think golden and silvery tones) and black, so we’ve used this palette to guide our choices.

What’s in the bag?

My all-time favourite and an absolute beauty cult classic – compact tangle teezer in gold. I have a full-size one in pink, but I have to admit this one is way prettier. Fits into a small clutch and lets you comb your hair without ruining the blow dry.

To finish off your hair style, use the Elnette volume hairspray. Spray on the roots and massage in, then spray on the tips to create loose sexy waves. Takes 2 minutes and looks effortlessly elegant. It’s also a mini, so you can take it with you and touch up during the evening.

Finally, we are all about nails this season. My top choice is the L’Oreal Black Diamond nail polish from the Color Riche collection. If you already have a colour on, use one layer to add the sparkle (works best with darker colours like chocolate or blackberry). Otherwise go for two coats for the full-on ‘midnight sky’ effect. My favourite bit about this nail polish is the brush – it’s wider than standard, so it takes just one stroke to cover each nail.

For your chance to win this beauty gift, simply follow me on Twitter and re-tweet my pinned COMPETITION tweet. You can increase your chances of winning by sharing the best gift you’ve ever received in your re-tweet.

Good luck!

Currently living and working in London, I dedicate a few hours every week to share my gifting knowledge, accumulated over the years of epic gift fails and unexpected triumphs. I'm much better at giving personal recommendations than trying to be generic, so feel free to drop me a line.
